William Shakespeare (1564-1616) - the father of modern English.
Shakespeare created about 2,000 neologisms such as “lonely”, “critic”, “hurry”, “road”.
Shakespeare created the norms of modern English grammar.
He used about 34,000 words in his works.

The English Renaissance – a cultural and artistic movement in England from the early 16th century to the early 17th century.
