HOMETOWN Plan: HISTORICAL PLACES HISTORY OF KARSHI CITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Monument of Abu Ubayd ibn al-Jarroh. Ubayda al-Jarroh was a prominent army chief, politician, companion and physician of the prophet Muhammad (c.a.v.). Legend has it that he was able to cure a in the 2th century and was recently renovated. There are 17 banks in the city, including people's bank, Agrobank, Azerbaijan, Ipoteka Bank, Reconstruction Bank, Silk Road Bank, Asakabank, Hamkorbank, Aloqabank, Microcreditbank, Turonbank, Rural Building Bank, Finance Invest Bank, Trastbank, Asia Alliance Bank, DAVR-Bank, Savdogarbank branches. Qarshi is the capital of the kashgar region and the main train node in the province.
