Delay in walking
There are many factors that determine the age at which the child
becomes able to walk on his own,
such as hereditary factors,
sickness and so on. But most normal children start to walk by the
end of the first year and continue trying until they succeed in
walking on their own at the age of approximately
one and a half
years. But this is not a fixed age; some children begin walking
earlier than that, at the
age of nine months for example; in other
cases, the child does not take his first steps until after he has
passed the eighteen month mark.
