In conclusion, Phonics is a approach of instructing teenagers to study by linking sounds (phonemes) and the symbols that signify them (graphemes, or letter groups). Phonics is the learning-to-read technique used in principal schools in the UK today.
Children are taught letter sounds in Reception. This includes questioning about what sound a phrase starts offevolved with, saying the sound out loud and then recognising how that sound is represented via a letter.
The intention is for adolescents to be able to see a letter and then say the sound it represents out loud. This is known as decoding.
Some phonics programmes start young people off by using gaining knowledge of the letters s, a, t, n, i, p first.
