Suggested answers
The original topic of the presentation was ‘Networking in a
globalised world’. Learners do not have to reproduce the exact
title. It is enough if they say that
the topic might be how to
establish contacts throughout the world and have international
presence. Topics like ‘Online networking’ or ‘Face-to-face vs
online contacts’ are acceptable suggestions.

your learners that the
most important words are usually stressed. Answers are
underlined in the audioscript below.

1 In
the course of discussion, one thing came out which I
thought we should put on the table immediately.
2 This was something that most people didn’t do, which I know
many of my colleagues do.
3 I’ve
got a website, Twitter and Facebook presence.
4 And what we noticed is that most teachers don’t have this.
5 And what we also realised is that because they don’t have
it, they are losing
their international presence and in the
globalised world you can’t do that.
