I have just returned to England from a holiday in Spain, staying at the Bella Vista Hotel,

and I am writing to complain about a number of points. Firstly, I was informed just before my departure that the flight time for the outward journey had been changed, so that instead of arriving in the morning and being able to enjoy the rest of the day at the resort, I arrived at midnight. Then, contrary to the information I had been sent, there was no representative to meet me on arrival, so I had to take a taxi at a cost of $25. I was also dissatisfied with the Bella Vista Hotel. The lift was frequently out of order, the food in the coffee shop was awful, and the ‘small extra charge’ for windsurfing and other activities, mentioned in the information sheet, turned out to be extremely high.

I complained to the Cheapotours representative at the time but found her unwilling to do
anything to help me. In view of these problems, I feel I have the right to ask for compensation and I think that 25% of the cost of the holiday would be an acceptable sum.
