Self assessment
Write a short reflective piece ( about 150 words) answering the following questions.
What do you think your level of English in terms of listening, spoken interaction and spoken production writing and reading according to the CEFR? Why do you think so?
I have entered university in this year. I have not taken the CEFR exam yet but I can give an approximate answer for this question. My approximate level is between A2 and B1 from CEFR. Personally I think that my listening, reading, speaking and writing skills are different from each other. For instance for my listening and reading I can give a better score than my speaking and writing. Because of this I was prepared for IELTS exam about two months and at that time I received 5- 5.5 from reading and listening in special tests, but I could not pass 3.5-4 from writing and speaking. It was equal to B1 for reading and listening and A2 for writing and speaking.
What level do you think you need to achieve by the end of year 4
In my opinion during my 4 years of student life, I need to get a C1 degree from CEFR. Because I'm studying at the Institute of Foreign Languages and I have to work somewhere in the future. The demand for people who are fluent in English in our country is huge and also knowledge of English is a great help to working or continue studying in developed countries. That is why I want to achieve C1 level and I will do it!
What do you think you can do to work on your English apart from your studys?
I think there are a lot of opportunities to work on English in addition to studying. For example we can watch films with the subtitles and also there are too many audio books which contains to learning English languages. If we want to improve our English we can do it from even a small thing. I think it all depends on us.

What do you think are characteristics of good student?
Student is a person who enters the university with big dreams and hi's/she's purpose is only to acquire knowledge. If we come for characteristics of good student I can surely say that one of the best one is never stop learning and also following the internal rules of the university.
How is it different to study in a secondary school and a university?
In my personal opinion there are big difference between secondary school and university. Because at secondary school if we did not study or did not do our homework we would go from course to course but not at university. At the University if we fail from any exams we may stay on course or even could be cancelled. As well as there are a huge difference in the training system. After all, higher education is higher education.
Do you think you are the good student? Why?
I think I am not good student and at the same time I am not bad one. I have a bad habit, when some science teacher lose my respect , I have problems with the same science, but I try to prepare all the tasks in the science of my favorite teachers as much as possible. I love studying and never stop learning. It’s your job to evaluate whether I'm a good or bad student.
How do you think you can be a better student?
We know that nothing is impossible in the world and we can change everything if we want. I think I can be a better student if I pay more attention to reading by reducing phone. As well as to fill in the gaps in my character.
