Criterion for mid-term exam

The 2 given tasks will be assessed within 5 points and the each task score will be calculated to sum up the average mark.

Sir Thomas More

Sir Thomas More (7 February 1478 – 6 July 1535), venerated in the Catholic Church as Saint Thomas More, was an English lawyer, social philosopher, author, statesman, and noted Renaissance humanist. He was also a councilor to Henry VIII, and Lord High Chancellor of England from October 1529 to 16 May 1532. He wrote Utopia, published in 1516, about the political system of an imaginary, ideal island nation.

In October, 1529 More succeeded Cardinal Wolsey as Chancellor of England - a post that had never been occupied by a layman. More was not at all sympathetic towards the heretics he prosecuted as part of his duties. In the end, More suffered from religious persecution himself. In 1532, More resigned from his position because he disagreed with Henry VIII's elevation to a position as head of the church in England. More was imprisoned in the infamous Tower of London and accused of treason. More was executed in 1535.

More opposed the Protestant Reformation, in particular the theology of Martin Luther and William Tyndale. More also opposed the king's separation from the Catholic Church, refusing to acknowledge Henry as Supreme Head of the Church of England and the annulment of his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. After refusing to take the Oath of Supremacy, he was convicted of treason and beheaded. Of his execution, he was reported to have said: "I die the King's good servant, and God's first."

By 1510, More was a famous lawyer and he became Under-Sheriff of London. In the next ten years, More enters the King's service and receives a pension of 100 pounds for life. More travels to Flanders and Calais, France to protect British commercial interests and serve in an ambassadorial role. In 1516, Utopia is published in Louvain and this is More's most successful work.

My life very interestingly because I am consuming to my family are to friends, to relative and et cetera. I every holidays meet with my friends and my class meets, because I always be bored without they because they are my big happiness, so I like them. I always in my free time go with friends or class mates to library because my favorite books too expensive and very big so I go in my free time . I play sport or I go to famous restaurant for their tasty make foods. I recommend to my friends come to a famous restaurant , because their foods tasty and very cheap. And in my free time I learn some subjects because I am apple for universities . I think next tear I can apply 5 universities. So I learn some subjects only my favorite subjects. I think if I want to enter to university . I have to learn a lot of things for subjects maybe. I will enter to university too rate. And in my free time I play computer or laptop because I like computer games read book better than computer games. And if somebody is wand to be something creative scholar. I recommend read lots books.
