Formation of statehood:

October 21, 1989 - the law on the state language of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Uzbek was adopted;

March 24, 1990 - the post of the President of the Uzbek SSR was introduced;

August 31, 1991 - The Republic of Uzbekistan is declared an independent state;

September 1, 1991 - Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

November 18, 1991 - the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved;

December 29, 1991 - the first president of the Republic of Uzbekistan was popularly elected;

January 4, 1992 - the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan ratified the Belovezhskaya Agreement on the termination of the existence of the USSR and on the establishment of the CIS, as well as the Alma-Ata Protocol to it [40];

March 2, 1992 - The Republic of Uzbekistan became a member of the UN, becoming its full member;

July 2, 1992 - the state emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved;

December 8, 1992 - the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted;

December 10, 1992 - the state anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved;

Since November 15, 1993, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to protect the domestic market from excess ruble supply, temporary banknotes "sum-coupon", sample 1992, were introduced;

July 1, 1994 - the national currency was introduced - the sum;

According to the constitution, Uzbekistan is a rule-of-law democratic state. The head of state is the president. The highest state representative body is the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which exercises legislative power.
