FERGHANA REGIONAL LIBRARY NAMED AFTER A.FERGHANI Date: 23.06.2022 Ferghana Regional library named after A. Ferghani Ferghana Regional Library named after Ahmad Ferghani. The Ahmad Ferghani Regional Information and Library Center was opened in 1899 under the auspices of the Department of Folk Museums, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the great Russian poet Alexander pushkin, at that time the library fund consisted of 568 copies of books, which included only representatives of the urban intelligentsia. The library consists of three floors. The book storage department at the bottom of the library was flooded as a result of a flood that occurred in 1977 in the city. A third of the library's 300,000 copies, some of the rare books published in the early 19th century, newspapers and other material resources printed in the 1920s and 1930s have disappeared. The Fergana Regional Information and Library Center named after Ahmad Ferghani is one of the leading libraries in Uzbekistan. The library has about 350,000 copies of the universal collection in more than 50 languages. They comprise the following departments and sectors that are engaged in both information services for users and the maintenance of all library work: Scientific and Methodological Department Information and Bibliographic Department Hall of Periodicals Legal Information Center Local History Sector User Service Department Catalogues and card files room The sector of the general reading room Accounting sector The sector of spirituality This year, our great comrade, who introduced Ferghana to the Library of world science, was named the Uzbek scientist Ahmad Ferghani, who lived and worked in the ninth century. In 1980, the metal portrait of Ahmad Ferghani was decorated by the Ferghana sculptor Alder Aliyev. In 1926, books were exchanged between the Tashkent State Library and our Ferghana Regional Library.
