Study Plan

1. Please tell us the reasons why you decided to apply to the department/area of Sejong University to which you are applying (be specific). (200 (min.)~400 (max.) words)

For many years, I have been interested in studying computer science. My interest pursuing this field stems from several factors, which have affected me. Firstly, I have been exposed to computer science throughout my life. With the job of my Grandfather fixing electronics, Father's job of software engineering. I have grown under the shadow of all type of electronics that pushed me so far to pursue this field. During weekends and summer holidays, I tried to observe my father's work, typing codes on his laptop that made me get interested in to it. As I am keen on learning competence of computer science, I started to take online courses of BTEC, and learned Web Programming. Secondly, I am the only one in our family who is able to make my father's dreams come true about working in a big international companies like, FACEBOOK, LINKEDIN etc. I believe that, through studying computer science at Sejong University, I can effectively satisfy my ambition and curiosity in this field. A third fact, which has affected my interest in computer science, is my love to my country and people. Through learning computer science, I would not only have a chance to serve my country, but also have opportunity to show the world that how Uzbek people are able to work in Brand companies like, Apple or Google that can even invent their brand companies. As IT has not been developed in Uzbekistan, I would like to expand this major throughout my country and the course in Computer science is the one I looked for. I am totally convinced that the course equip me with all the necessary knowledge to learn Computer science.

2. Please tell us about your study plan in detail (what you plan to study, how to accomplish your goals, etc.). (200 (min.)~400 (max.) words)

I have already planned each and everything beforehand in order to spend my time at Sejong University. That is my academic time at Sejong University will consist of two parts. First, I will use every available second to deepen my theoretical knowledge, share ideas with local people and international students, and get necessary ideas from them. I will actively participate in every project and seminars conducted by senior students and professors related to my field and increase my scientific potential. And, I will create new projects which contributes to the society. Second part of my academic time will be putting all the knowledge I gained into practice. I will take internship in Korean companies where I hope to take big projects to work on such as creating brand websites to them. In addition, in my sophomore year, I have a plan to create a website that serves people who wants to learn Computer Science but do not afford it and gather experienced people in Computer Science around the world who want to teach coding to them. I am sure that experience of Korean education will benefit me in the long-term in achieving my goals.

3. Please tell us about your plans after graduating our university (be specific). (200 (min.)~400 (max.) words)

Upon graduation, I will come back to my country and embark on my own company that serves to the world’s companies remotely and IT academy which teaches young prospective, intelligent students with freelancer colleagues. By applying the knowledge and experience I will gain in Korea I will help for Uzbek companies growth and make them brand companies like Google. In addition, I will also pay particular attention to the dissemination of my knowledge and experience among other coders in my area by consulting and helping them to find their job or helping them to apply to world’s big companies which helps to the potential and economy of my country. In this way, we can satisfy the high demand for highly experienced specialists our country lacks. Moreover, I see great potential for the growth of mutual relation between South Korea and Uzbekistan. Especially, there are many opportunities to work with South Korea and build stronger presence of South Korean education in Central Asia. I believe that presence of South Korean companies and education in the Central Asian region can help to assure better relationship, strong integrity, higher quality and clearer transparency in workplace and in higher and secondary education.
