When we are writing letter, we usually use informal style. Informal writing is based on use of:
Everyday words ( we had a great time)
Colloquial expressions , idioms(example it is lemon that means it has broken down)
Main of informal letter
Phrasal verbs( example get off, settle in)
Short forms ( don’t, I’m I’ve )
Main part paragraphs
In informal letters we sometimes speak about more than one theme.
