FRANKLIN PARK ESTATES APPLICATION AND INFORMATION The Housing Finance Authority of Broward County (HFA) in partnership with Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development (HFCDD) is proud to be financing the construction of eighteen new homes in the unincorporated neighborhood of Franklin Park Estates. The attractive and energy-efficient three-bedroom/two-car garage homes will enhance the single-family residential character of this community. HFA funding is supplemented by a Disaster Recovery Initiative (DRI) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and funds from Broward County . Additionally, the County’s Housing Finance and Community Development Division will assist qualified income-eligible homebuyers 1 . Prices are expected to range from $155,000 to $165,000 depending on model and appraisal 2 . Buyers will be selected by lottery from eligible income-qualified applications.
Applications are available online at www.broward.org/housing or at the Housing Finance & Community Development Division offices located at 110 N.E. 3 rd Street, 3 rd floor, Fort Lauderdale Florida 33301 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, July 1, 2015, through Friday, July 31, 2015, between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 p.m. Applications will not be accepted before July 1, 2015.
Applications that are not completed correctly and/or missing any of the application requirements will not be accepted.

A first-time homebuyer or a buyer who has not owned a home as primary residence in three years.
Income-eligible. Approximately eight homes will be sold to households whose incomes are 80% or below the average median income (AMI) and approximately ten homes to households whose incomes are between 80% and 140% of the AMI 3 (See Income Chart Attached). Able to provide down payment/closing costs of at least 3% of the purchase price. Able to secure a first mortgage in an amount sufficient to purchase with the available first-time homebuyer program assistance provided by the County.
TO APPLY TO PURCHASE A HOME, APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT EACH OF THE FOLLOWING (APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS): A fully-completed signed application form. A signed Authorization to Release Information to Broward County form. A First-time Homebuyer Education Certificate (see HUD Approved Counseling Agencies list) A pre-approval or pre-qualification letter from a lender documenting that the lender has reviewed applicant’s credit and income. ( See attached Broward County list of participating lenders; however, the applicant may choose any lender that abides by the County ’s guidelines.)

FRANKLIN PARK ESTATES MODELS, AMENITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
MODELS Each model includes an enclosed two-car garage, three bedrooms, covered entrance portico, separate living room and dining room (or one great room). BUFFER WALL
An attractive eight-foot high entrance wall made of pre-cast concrete will be constructed along the south side of Sunrise Boulevard and east side of Northwest 27th Avenue. The landscaped wall, approximately 1,060 feet long, will be a safety and sound buffer for the new homes as well as a distinctive marker for the neighborhood with two handsome entrance signs designating “Franklin Park”. One sign will be integrated into the wall, the other will be free standing.
