The expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation
between our countries cannot be passed over without attention. In
particular, mutual tours of theatrical and creative groups of the
Uzbek State Musical Theater named after Mukimi and Osh State
Academic Uzbek Musical and Drama Theater named after Babur.
In October 2017 the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan will be
organized in Bishkek, and the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will
be conducted in Tashkent next year. We also hope that
Uzbekistan will worthily mark in 2018 the 90th anniversary of
the birth of Chyngiz Aitmatov, a great Kyrgyz and world writer, a
native of Central Asia.
Separately, I want to express my gratitude to the
government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the decision to
build a new school in Osh on the site of the old school for 630
pupils which will become another symbol of our growing
friendship.
Summing up my speech, I want to assure that Kyrgyzstan,
along with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan,
as before is ready to carry out full-scale cooperation with the
fraternal countries of Central Asia, based on the principles of
good-neighborliness and mutual respect, and to promote and
defend our common interests in international venues.

Speech by Ikrom Nazarov, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan
Dear Mr. Chairman!
Dear participants of the international conference!
Uzbek-Kazakh relations are characterized by a high level of
confidence and the absence of any insurmountable contradictions.
They are an example of how to build and develop cooperation
between the two fraternal peoples.
A striking proof of this is the state visit of the President of
the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev
to Kazakhstan on March 22-23 this year, a working visit to
Kazakhstan on April 29 this year, the participation of the head of
state in the meeting of the heads of the SCO member states,
solemn opening of Astana Expo-2017.
Based on its results and achieved agreements, the state visit
of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was a historic
event and opened new prospects in relations between our
countries.
During the visit, 13 interstate, intergovernmental and
interdepartmental agreements were signed in the political, trade-
economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian
spheres. And also 75 contracts were signed for the amount of
about $ 1 billion in agriculture, automotive industry, textile
industry, etc.
To ensure the practical and timely implementation of the
bilateral signed agreements and the reached arrangements, the
President of our country approved the Action plan "Road map"
for their implementation, as well as the Working commission
headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of
Uzbekistan A.Dj.Ramatov.
I would like to briefly dwell on the following significant
areas of our interaction.
