Basic necessities
[Noun] (the things necessary or indispensable which we must have and cannot survive without such as food, shelter, and other necessities of life). People living in some countries do not even have the basic necessities of life. Many people cannot even afford basic necessities, such as food and clothing. Sufferings [Noun] (the state of undergoing pain and unhappiness). We cannot watch the sufferings of other people without wishing to help them. This medicine helps to alleviate the sufferings of the patient. Voluntary activities [Noun] (activities that people do on a voluntary basis, without getting paid, they do it volunteers). Good citizens participate in a variety of voluntary activities throughout the year. Prisoners are engaged in a variety of voluntary activities in prison. To build muscle [Verb] (to gain muscle mass). Yoga won't build my muscles. He is starting to walk now and wants to build his muscles. Football fan [Noun] (someone who likes football). I'm a football fan. He is a football fan. Football season [Noun] (a period when football is played). During the second week of autumn, football season begins. The British football season begins in August and ends in May. Sports centre (fitness centre) [Noun] (a specific building where people can play different sports and other activities). My brother practices fencing at a local sports centre. The sports centre staff are lovely and really helpful. Sports facilities [Noun] (the equipment and services for doing sports). Indoor and outdoor sports facilities. I chose this gym because it offers a wide range of sports facilities. Champion [Noun] (someone who wins the first prize in a competition; a winner). After winning all the matches, he became the champion. I think that the Liverpool football team will be the champion this year. To warm up [Verb] (to perform light exercises before doing a sport). If you don't warm up before taking exercise, you risk injuring yourself. I usually warm up 10 mins before doing exercises. Maintain [Verb] (to take care of and make something stay the same). She has found it difficult to maintain a healthy weight. He tries to maintain healthy eating habits every day. Vitamin C helps maintain healthy connective tissue. Nutrients [Noun] (a substance in food that provides nourishment essential for plants, animals, and people to live and grow). You need more nutrients in your diet. Fresh fruit provides many nutrients such as vitamin C. Overweight [Adjective] (excessive or extra weight (heavier than you should be)).
