1. I am into reading (sports, business, fashion, aviation, comics, education,
computers, automobiles, entertainment) magazines, and I often read the
advice columns where fashion gurus share pieces of advice to fashion
victims or to people who do not know anything about the suitable color and
style for them. I usually spend two hours on this every weekend since this is
the only spare time I have. When I read, I should see to it that I am
comfortable, so I have the reading at home or when I am in the subway to
my destination. I surely have fun doing this because I not only learn fashion
tips but also feel comforted knowing that I am not alone in my struggle
when it comes to fashion. I think this is worth our time since fashion speaks
a lot about us.
2. When my daughter celebrated her first birthday, one of our guests gave her
a purse. I like this thing because this always reminds me of a victory I had
when I gave birth to her and her triumph; she was actually born prematurely
with a thin line of survival. My daughter is about to celebrate her third
birthday, and it’s good to see the purse still very useful since it is made of
leather. The color, which is red, and the heart shape are additional features
that I like about it more. I still keep it so that my daughter can use this
someday and know its value.
3. I’d like to talk about a botanical garden I see in one of the parks in my
hometown, which is just a thirty-minute ride from home. This garden is
located nearby a seawall and is surrounded by different kinds of fruit-
bearing trees. On the way to the center of this rectangular garden are a lot of
herbal plants planted in all shapes and colors of pots. They are labeled with
their common and scientific names as well as the diseases they can cure.
One of the reasons why students, especially those who have a biology class,
often visit the place is that it is also a source of knowledge. On weekdays or
weekends, the place is always full of people. They take pictures and relax in
the place as they can feel the fresh breeze from the sea and hear the sound
of the waves. It’s nice to walk around the place barefoot because on its
paths are pebbles. You’ll feel like you are having a foot massage. This free

therapy I have when I step on the pebbles is incomparable. This is one
reason why I keep on visiting the place. This is a place perfect for
relaxation and learning whenever you like.
