The Fergana branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies was established on 
the basis of the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-91 dated June 2, 
2005. 
In accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 26, 
2013 "On improving the personnel training system in the field of information and 
communication technologies" No. a number of events were held. 
The branch has 2 faculties, 9 departments, and personnel are trained in 6 educational areas and 2 
master's degrees. Starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, the training of personnel in the 1 
new 5234100 - Digital Economy (Networks and Sectors) educational direction of the bachelor's 
degree has been launched. 
2259 students study at the branch, of which 1726 full-time undergraduate students, 481 part-time 
students, and 52 master's students study. In the last year, 2 students of the branch received the

State scholarship, 2 students received the scholarship of the Ministry of Information 
Technologies and Communications Development, and 3 students received the scholarship named 
after Muhammad al-Khorazmi. 110 professors and teachers work at the university, 36 of them 
are doctors of science and candidates of science (PhD), associate professors. 33.9% of the total 
number of teachers with a scientific degree. 
The branch has 2 educational buildings. The 1st educational building was put into use in 2009, 
designed for 360 educational places, currently there are 1015 educational places. On the basis of 
the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 6, 2019 "On 
additional measures to further improve the professional education system" PF-5812 and facilities 
are given to the branch. Currently, there are 715 study places in this 2nd educational building.
