3. Listen to a conversation between a factory manager and a mechanical engineer. Mark the following statements as true (T) or false (F).
1.The materials are getting too warm.
2.The man needs to control generation.
3.The man will insulate the storeroom better.
4.Listen again and complete the conversation.
Manager: I hear the broken materials are 1_____________, is that true?
Engineer: Yes. And at the same time, they 2_____________.
Manager: That 3 _______________So I need to somehow control consumption.
Engineer: That's correct. You need to increase 4___________ of that storage room.
Manager: I agree 5________ better insulation. I hope it helps.
Engineer: It will. Once you decrease consumption, everything will 6______________.

5.Use the email and the conversation from Task 8 to fill out the email.

Thanks for your advice. I had some good results.
Here’s a breakdown:
Changes made:______________________________________________
___________________________________________________________
Effect on consumption:________________________________________-___________________________________________________________
Effect on generation:__________________________________________
___________________________________________________________
Overall effect of production:____________________________________

Thanks again, Greg.

Unit 4
Rate Processes
The results of a rate process depend on connect rates of the moment. For example the treatment of water is a rate process.
The process begins when water is pumped from a source into a holding tank. A driving force pushes the water through screen filters. The system will not function correctly if this factor is off. If it is too high, the inlet becomes backed up. If it is too low, not enough water travels through system.
Various factors influence the flow rate. The diameter of pipe can change the water pressure. Smaller openings allow less water to pass through at once. This increases pressure at the outlet. Viscosity can also affect the flow rate of some substance. However, water's viscosity does not change during treatment.
A systems overall flow rate determines its flux. This measurement is used to assess functionality of the system.
