Navoi State Mining Institute is a state higher educational institution that trains experts in the fields of mining and metallurgy. It is located in the city of Navoi

The institute was established in 1995 under the state concern "Kyzilkum rare metal gold". The institute includes the faculties of mining, chemical-metallurgy, energy mechanics and Almalyk, mining metallurgy (in Almalyk) and 21 departments, bachelors in 10 fields of study (2 professional education; management; electric power; metallurgy; machine-building technology, machine-building production equipment and their automation ; chemical technology; mining; automation and control; mine electromechanics; technological machines and equipment) and masters in 5 specialties (metallurgy of non-ferrous and rare metals; underground mining; open pit mining; mineral beneficiation ; methodology of teaching vocational subjects) is prepared.

An institute lyceum operates under the institute. In the 2002-2003 academic year, about 2.5 thousand students studied at the institute; 7 doctors of science and professors, 44 candidates of sciences and associate professors worked.

Scientists of the institute have established relations with prestigious higher educational institutions of foreign countries to improve the educational process and carry out scientific research in cooperation.
