Kindergarten = nursery

Can you tell me about your early education. Well, I went to the kindergarten/nursery from the age of four. An I remembered that I didn`t enjoy very much at all. Primary school was a little better. Especially because my mother was a teacher at school. She taught at junior part of the school and she was actually my teacher at first grade. But when I went up to the senior school, I didn`t see very much of her. After that, I was lucky enough to receive a scholarship/grant to go to a very good high school (UK) / secondary school (Us, Australia). My parents could not have afforded to send me to a private / public school so it was great opportunity for me. It was a single` sex school so there were no boys. I am glad I didn`t go to a mixed school because I think there are fewer distractions so everyone cannot just concentrate on their study.
