The aіm: To give information about report writing, to encourage them to use creativity while writing.
Objectives: to improve student's writing skills through identifying tone of the text To develop a student's critical thinking skills through discussions To improve students’ vocabulary about report writing.

Warm-up activity. Formal or informal

►Procedure: Read the sentences and put F for formal and I for informal language.

Activity 1: Match the headings

Time: 20 min

Materials: Handout 1.

►Procedure: Match the beginnings of letters to the endings.

Activity 2: Find the mistakes

Objective: To improve students’ creative skills

Time: 30 min

Materials: Handout 2

►Procedure: Read the model of letter and correct the mistakes which have been highlighted.

Activity 3:  Letter to the Author

Objective: To improve students creative thinking while reading a book

Time: 10 min

►Procedure: Read the beginnings and endings of a complaint letter in the handout 3 and match them.
