A: How do you spell ‘horse?’
B: H-O-R-S-E. How do you spell ‘sheep?’
For more practice teacher spells the names of the animals that the pupils will learn in the next lesson: turkey, duck, donkey, goat, goose.
4. Production stage.
P upils read the the letter from England in the groups and find the answer to the question: ‘How many pets has Lucy`s family got?’ The group with the quickest answer gets a ‘smile

Teacher establishes new pairs within the groups and the pupils in pairs take turns to say what pets Lucy and her brother have got or haven`t got. Teacher walks round the class and checks the pupils work.


Now the pairs change the topic and tell each other about what pets they and their family members have or haven`t got.


5. Consolidation.
Teacher asks the pupils to listen to the voices of the animals and say their names. Pupils listen to the voices and say the names. The pupils check the answers on the screen.
Teacher gives a ‘smile’ for each correct answer. Then teacher asks to open the activity 5 in their Workbooks and complete Dildar`s letter with the appropriate words. In this activity pupils can also revise the ‘numbers.’


6. Evaluation.
Teacher counts the ‘smiles’ that the groups have earned during the lesson. The group with the most ‘smiles’ is announced the winner. Teacher also marks some individual students for their active participation.


7. Homework.
For homework teacher asks to draw the pictures of pets and domestic animals. He reminds that they will have “pictures competition” for the next lesson and the pupil with the best pictures will get the special prize. Pupils must also do exercises1 and 2 in their workbooks.
