  • Explore the concept of “Netiquette”;

  • Use the phrasal verb ‘look’ with different particles in various practical contexts;

  • Practice how to write an e-mail

Lesson plan

Warm-up activities- 10-15min:

Activity 1. For developing students’ speaking abilities and merging them into language environment by playing a game.

PRE-READING/LISTENING: 10-15min. drawing ss’ attention to the photos and let them share the differences.(Possible answers:Photo A represents online communication.Photo B shows face to face interaction)

Tashkent

Tashkent is the capital of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan. It is old city. It was founded more than 2000 years ago. The city has changed greatly. Nowadays Tashkent is very beautiful city, because many new roads, bridges, new buildings, parks are build. Many foreign guests come to see historical places. It has wide beautiful streets, high modern buildings. Tashkent is called the city of peace and friendship. Tashkent is educational, cultural, scientific, industrial center and became well-known in the world. Tashkent is the educational and scientific centre of Uzbekistan, where are a lot of universities, institutes, schools and special secondary schools. Many new institutes, universities have opened in it. Nowadays many foreign companies, firms, international organizations, offices, embassies have opened in it. Tashkent is one of the most important business centers and the most beautiful city in Central Asia. Its architecture is unique; the hospitality and friendliness of Tashkent people is amazing. The city of Tashkent is located within Tashkent Region, which lies in the far north eastern corner of Uzbekistan near the border with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The population of the city has already grown to more than 3 million people. There are many new avenues, Independence square, modern libraries (A.Navoi library)hospitals, hotels, beautiful parks, museums( A.Temur museum), stadiums,( Bunyodkor ) cinemas, theatres, zoo, mosque and many modern supermarkets, beautiful parksin Tashkent. The transport facilities are good. There are many buses, taxis and many beautiful metro stations decorated with traditional Uzbek art. Tashkent is industrial establishment, which produce cotton fabric, textile machinery, electrical equipment.
