Elektrlangan elektrometrning ko'rsatishi o'zgar maydi. Uning elektrlanganligi ikkinchi elektrometrga shisha tayoqcha orqali o'tmaydi (10- a rasm). Bunga sabab, shisha elektrni o'tkazmaydi. Endi elektrometrlar sharchalarini metall tayoqcha bilan o'zaro ulaylik. Birinchi elektrometrning elektrlanganligi ikkinchi elektrometrga o'tadi. Natijada, birinchi elektrometr ko'rsatishi kamayadi, ikkinchisiniki esa ortadi (10- b rasm). Bunga sabab, metall elektrni yaxshi o'tkazadi. - Metall tayoqcha yaxshi o’tkazishi sababli zaryadni qo’lga otkazib yuborish mumkin. - Shisha tayoqcha aksincha – zaryadni otkazmaydi ( lekin elektrlana oladi )
