Malik Nabiyev Malik Nabiyev (1916-2008) People's Artist of Uzbekistan, academic, professor, laureate of state awards, created the perfect images of our great ancestors and contemporaries. Malik Nabiyev was born in 1916 in Tashkent. In 1937 he started teaching at P. Benkov Republican Art School. From 1958 to the end of his life, Nabiyev has taught at Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University several generations of talented young people with secrets of fine arts. The works of the artist, featuring great historical figures and self-sacrificing contemporaries, have received wide public recognition. Nabiyev's paintings include "Spitamen", "Portrait of Beruni", "Tamara Khanim", "Shepherd", "Portrait of Doctor Mahmudova" and "Builder". Malik Nabiyev's creativity has evolved during the years of independence. The artist created his own portraits of the great sons of the Uzbek people - Bobur, Fitrat and Usman Nosir. In 1994, the portrait of our great ancestor Amir Temur, created by Nabiyev, became a great event not only in the fine arts, but also in the cultural life of the country. Malik Nabiyev created portraits of scientists and cultural figures, mainly in the historical genre. The exhibition presents numerous historical compositions of Amir Temur in various stages of his life from adolescence to old age. One of the portraits of Amir Temur, known as the artist, is recognized as an example of the image of the great commander and statesman. This success inspired the artist to make a careful study of the historical documents and books and archival materials of Amir Temur and his era. One of the best works of the artist is the portrait of Spitamen, a national freedom fighter, and Abu Rayhan Beruni, a great scientist and thinker. Nabiyev has been in more than 40 countries in Europe, Asia, and America to see the architectural monuments, museums and exhibition halls with great works of other artists. The artist has adhered to the traditions of realism, having mastered various aspects of world art. Etudes and completed works based on their impressions of traveling to India, Cuba, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Malik Nabiyev, who created the perfect images of our great ancestors and contemporaries, was awarded with the order “Buyuk hizmatlari uchun”. On February 17, 2011, the 95th anniversary of the birth of Malik Nabiyev was held.
