Foreword by The AKF President
The Covid Pandemic has been devastating the world for a long 4-year times now, it is now 
slowly coming to the end. The Asian Karate Federation (AKF), however, has already started 
its journey of recovery since 2021. The AKF, with the strong support from its member National 
Federations, have successfully completed the Asian Karate Championships for the Cadet, 
Junior, Under-21 and the Senior age groups.
This year the AKF and its Executive Council have decided to continue to organise a combined 
Championship for all age categories. In addition, the AKF has also decided to have an 
additional category, namely the 1
st
Asian Para Karate Championship, to complete the Asian 
Karate Championship. 
On behalf of the AKF, I would like to thanks the Uzbekistan Government, and the Uzbekistan 
Karata Federation for allocating much resources to host the massive combined 
Championship. The AKF would also like to thank WKF and its President Mr. Antonio Espinos 
for his relentless support to the AKF, and without the support from WKF the Para Karate 
Championship will not be possible. 
Last but not least, I would like to also thank all our member National Federations for the 
support. I look forward to meet up with all of you and to celebrate the mega Asian Karate 
Championship together in the beautiful city of Tashkent.

Foreword by The WKF President
The development of our Continental events is at the core of the progress of the WKF. The 
major competitions in each continent represent the stepping stone that help us take our sport 
to new heights, and on that note, the Asian Karate Championships has been a stronghold of 
the growth of Karate as a discipline with events continuously growing in quality and interest. 
I am sure that the 2022 AKF Championships will be no exception. 
All of us Karate fans will be looking forward to one of the highlights of the year, when the best 
Karate athletes in Asia will meet at the continental championships to be held in Tashkent from 
December 16 to 20. This year, the event gathers Senior, Cadet, Junior, U21, and Para-Karate 
categories thus making the tournament a massive celebration of our sport. 
Moreover, in addition to the tremendous sporting interest of the event, we are pleased to 
note that Para-Karate continues to gain relevance with the first edition of the AKF Para-Karate 
Championships being celebrated this year in Tashkent. 
I want to thank the AKF and its president Major General Nasser Alrazooqi for their efforts to 
host a truly memorable event. I am convinced that the participants will find the best 
conditions to show their outstanding abilities.
