In this spectrum F1 and F2 are quite clear. A small
peak can be seen at the
first two harmonics. F3 and F4 are not very clear although F4 is a bit more
prominent than F3. F5 is not visible.

The spectrogram for /V/ is very similar to (but shorter than) that of /a:/ (as we
would expect given that the main difference
between these two vowels in
Australian English is duration). As with /a:/, F3 is only partially visible and F5
is not visible.
