CONCLUSION
Managing availability in distributed information systems is a crucial aspect of modern organizations' operations. The reliance on these systems for storing, processing, and accessing vast amounts of data requires a proactive and comprehensive approach to ensure uninterrupted access and reliable services. Throughout this paper, we have explored various methods and strategies employed to manage availability effectively in distributed information systems. From fault tolerance and redundancy to load balancing, disaster recovery, and proactive monitoring, organizations have a range of tools at their disposal to enhance availability. By implementing fault tolerance mechanisms, organizations can design their systems to tolerate component failures and maintain operation without disruption. Redundancy provides backup alternatives, ensuring that critical components or services are readily available in case of failures. Load balancing techniques distribute the workload across multiple resources, preventing overloading and optimizing performance. Disaster recovery plans enable organizations to swiftly restore their systems and retrieve data after major disruptions. Proactive monitoring helps detect potential issues early on, allowing for timely remediation before they impact availability. In general, the following results were achieved during the completion of this graduation qualification work: 1. Distributed systems and their architecture were described. 2. Threats to distributed systems and their vulnerabilities was studied. 3. Methods and tools for securing distributed systems was described. 4. Methods of access control and their analysis were analyzed. 5. Access control and security models in distributed systems were analyzed. |
