ave you ever enjoyed a movie only to be disappointed by its ending?
Though the ending may be
just a small fraction of the movie’s length, if it’s not
satisfying, it can ruin the whole experience.
The same is often true for essays. A powerful conclusion can dramatically improve a reader’s
impression
of a weak or mediocre essay, while a weak
conclusion can do the reverse, leaving
a bad impression of
an otherwise well-written essay.
