Description of the Case
Atmospheric Distillation Column (C1). The column of atmo- spheric distillation is the unit where most of the crude fractioning takes place. The model is composed of a column with 26 theoret- ical trays, with a partial condenser and without a reboiler. It has Figure 1 Atmospheric distillation column. three side columns with two theoretical trays each, but no con- denser nor reboiler. The column includes three pumparounds that recirculate the liquid between trays 13 and 12, 18 and 17, and 22 and 21. In tray 24, there is a trim heater that allows a temperature variation at the flash zone. The crude is fed to the main column at tray 24 and steam is fed at tray 26. The products of the main column are: the condenser vapor (Wet-Gas), the condensate (Light Straight-Run, LSR), a side product that comes from tray 8 (Naphtha) and the bottoms (Topped); from trays 13, 18, and 22 come out three streams that feed tray 1 of the side columns: they have the streams of kerosene, diesel, and atmospheric gas oil (AGO) as bottom products. These side columns give in return to the main column the most volatile components of the separation to trays 11, 17, and 21, respectively. For separation in the side columns, these are fed with steam at tray number 2. The configuration of the atmospheric distillation column is shown in Figure 1. Vacuum Distillation Column (C2). This column is used to frac- tionate the least volatile components of the crude, which are the bottoms of the atmospheric distillation column (Topped). The vac- uum distillation model represents a column of eight theoretical trays with a reboiler and without a condenser. The column includes three pumparounds that recirculate the liquid between trays 2 and 1, 4 and 3, and between the bottoms and tray 8. The bottoms of atmospheric distillation are fed at tray 7 of the vacuum distillation column. The product streams of the column are located at the upper part (vacuum), at tray 2 (light vacuum gas oil, LVGO), at tray 4 (heavy vacuum gas oil, HVGO), and at tray 8 (residuum). This column operates at 8 mm Hg of pressure. The configuration of the vacuum distillation column is shown in Figure 2. Download 244.37 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
