THE CW CHECKS THE FOLLOWING LEARNING OUTCOMES:
• Understand the theoretical frameworks of economics in a global context;
• Develop critical thinking about contemporary issues in the global economy; 
• Learn practical skills to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis in the context of 
contemporary issues; 
• Adopt and appreciate multiple perspectives on international problems with cross-country 
differences in geographical location, culture and social norms; 
• 
Work in groups and develop presentation skills in accordance with main emphasis placed on 
contemporary issues in global economics.
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION 
The following coursework assesses student’s ability to critically analyze and write a solid report discussing country specific 
contemporary issues in global economics. 
Each team should consist of 5 students who belong to the same group (E.g. 4ECwF1 etc.). The students should set up their own 
teams based on mutual respect and understanding.
Deadline for group formation is September 22
nd
, 2023. After the deadline, the students will not be allowed to swap or change their 
teams. The groups – for those students who could not (did not want to) join to any group – will be randomly formed by the 
Module Leader. If these students find themselves in smaller groups, it is their full responsibility to bear all the difficulties of the 
CW tasks.
