The legislation on consumer protection is one of the dynamically developing areas
of legal regulation on a global scale, combining the approaches of civil, administrative,
procedural law in achieving the common goal of effective consumer protection. The
Russian legislation is no exception in this regard. The development of cross-border
trade, the growth of high technologies and fragmentation of regulation pose new chal-
lenges to the legislation on consumer protection, requiring balanced solutions based
on the rich experience of not only Russian, but also foreign legislation, science and
practice.
The presented monograph examines the experience of the European Union in the
harmonization of norms aimed at protecting consumer rights, as well as the experience
of a number of foreign countries (Belgium, Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, the USA, France).
Based on the analysis, measures are proposed to update the domestic legislation on
consumer protection.
For academics, teachers, postgraduate students, legal practitioners and anyone
interested in consumer protection.
