THE IMPORTANCE OF ICT IN TEACHING ENGLISH Jabborova N. 1 , Nazarov R.I. 2 1 Student of the Tashkent Institute of railway engineers 2 an English teacher of Таshkent institute of railway engineers Information and communication technologies (ICTs) play a huge role in the process of teaching foreign languages. The main goal of teaching a foreign language at school is to form and develop students' communicative competence. the teacher's task is to create conditions for practical language proficiency. However, it is no secret that students ' interest in learning a foreign language is falling. Lack of motivation, in turn, leads to a decrease in the quality of students ' learning. Based on the existing problem, I put forward the hypothesis of the study: if you use ICT to teach English in the system, they will help: development of high educational motivation; ensuring high-quality indicators of students' progress; comprehensive solution of problems of education and upbringing. In this approach to learning, the role of the teacher is to organize the material so that students are constantly striving for their intellectual development. Every child is active in such classes, even a "weak" student can show their activity, independence, creative and research abilities. Using the following chart students can speak about various functions of a computer. They can say which of these or other functions they often use in their activities. The use of ICT in combination with traditional teaching methods has several undeniable advantages over traditional teaching methods alone: -individualization of the learning process; development of students independence; increase motivation to learn a foreign language; development of students cognitive activity; creating a favourable and comfortable learning environment; intensification of the learning process; improving the quality of foreign language training; development of creative abilities; creating conditions for self-education; the creation of real conditions and situations of language communication; comprehensive and objective control. 257 Learning to read using ICT provides access to texts of various literary genres. Using online versions of Newspapers, magazines, reading and discussing the latest world news is interesting and useful for students because they contain relevant and understandable information for students. Reading articles, analysis, and discussion helps develop language guesswork, reading pace, and helps develop reading and speaking skills. Working with ICT in speech training becomes much more effective because the global network can offer a lot of topics for discussion. Thus, Internet materials will help to organize work not only on any programming topic but also outside of the program material. Learning to write also becomes much more interesting and fruitful with the use of ICT. Writing various kinds of letters, postcards, and documents from the mandatory program can now not only be practised in the classroom and at home, but also organize real correspondence between students and the teacher, friends from other classes, schools, and foreign peers. Correctly selected authentic materials (taking into account the level of training, program requirements, personal preferences and interests of students) help to make listening training much more fun. I use ICT at all levels of education. At primary school, I try to organize my work so that modern technologies become a powerful psychological and pedagogical means of forming students ' motivation, and a means of maintaining and developing a steady interest in learning English. The use of ICT contributes to the formation of an intellectually developed, creative person who can navigate the modern information space, ready for continuous self- education and development. Practice confirms that ICTs in English lessons allow students to firmly master all types of speech activity in an exciting way for them, which significantly affects the quality of knowledge, as well as significantly increases the interest of students, motivation to study English. Today, there are many directions and ways of using ICT (Internet resources, audio and video materials, multimedia programs, etc.), and the main thing for the teacher is to use these resources wisely so that the lesson is interesting for students, effective in terms of strong mastery of speech activities and contributes to the formation of positive motivation.
