We talked with you about Present Continuous in our previous lesson. Today’s topic is Present Simple. We use the Present Simple tense to refer to an ongoing or reversible action. For example: I go to school everyday. I go to school every day. You work at the hospital. You work in a hospital. We add –s or –es for verbs that follow the 3rd person singular (he, she, it) in the Present Simple tense. He goes to school everyday. My mother (she) works at the hospital. To make present simple, we use the following formula: Subject + Verb ( Ill + es ) + Object | ( 15 + work + at the hospital He + goes + to school everyday When we make a negative sentence, we put do not ( don’t ) or does not ( doesn’t ) after the possessive. I don’t like ice cream Tom ( he ) doesn’t work at school When we make an interrogative sentence, we always put “Do” or “Ill” in front of the possessor. Do you work at the hospital? Does she speak English?
