Musashi's Dokkodo (The Way of Walking Alone)

Wallace has worked for Chuck Norris’
KICKSTART KIDS Foundation since 2002. As a part of this work he
teaches karate as an alternate Physical Education (P.E.) credit
elective class. During his time with KICKSTART KIDS he has had the
opportunity to work with more than 1,000 students and that number
continues to grow. KICKSTART KIDS is a character education
program that uses karate as a tool to recruit and retain students.
Working inside of the public school system and side-by-side with
other education professionals he had the opportunity to learn how to
teach like a teacher while instilling the character strengths that will
allow these students to become contributors to society.
Beginning in 2012 he took on the additional responsibilities by
accepting a position as an Area Leader for KICKSTART KIDS, which
allowed him to also help other KICKSTART KIDS Instructors better
implement the teaching methods in the classroom. He also served
on a committee that was charged with creating and developing the
Character Education Values Curriculum for the Foundation.
He has written hundreds of articles and published several books on
the traditional martial arts, practical application of martial arts as well

as on the subject of personal safety. His books Slapping Dragons
and Ignorance, Myth and the Martial Arts were all well received and
in 2015 he is releasing Prelude to a Fight: Personal Safety Before
the Physical Violence Begins and A Path to a Better Place.
He lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of north Texas and enjoys any
free moments with his wife, Daisy, and their children, CJ, Gillian, and
