My Future profession is a psychologist

  • To live life wisely, you need to know a lot. Two important rules to remember to start. You'd rather starve than eat anything. And it's better to be alone than with just anyone.
  • Omar Khayyam
  • In the world of professions

There is such a profession - PSYCHOLOGIST.

Psychologist, who is it?

  • For some reason, most people consider a psychologist a specialist who works with not quite normal people. The prefix psycho- confuses. And then how: psycho-pat, psycho-atr, yes, finally, just - a psycho.
  • Meanwhile, this word (psyche), in translation, means no more, no less, like the soul. Based on this, a psychologist is a person who studies the human soul. Let us immediately clarify that the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist is that the psychologist studies and works with normal cases, and the psychiatrist studies and treats deviations.
  • The psychologist is looking for answers to the most interesting questions about why a person behaves this way and not otherwise, why he strives for one thing and rejects another, why he is happy or unhappy, how to manage himself and be effective in communicating with others.

What does it mean to be a psychologist?

What does it mean to be a psychologist?

  • Obviously, a person who spends his whole life researching the nature and properties of the soul himself becomes not quite an ordinary person. After all, the profession requires a psychologist to be able to do what he teaches. And psychologists are specially trained in the ability to manage themselves, skillfully listen and understand, quickly delve into the essence of the problem and help find a solution. A psychologist is improving all the time, knows how and loves to learn - reads special literature, meets with colleagues, and does his own research. A professional psychologist is not an adviser and not a great Teacher, but an assistant who knows how to accept the client as he is and helps to find a solution to a problem or a way out of a difficult situation. The main thing that a psychologist does is to communicate with a client, creating conditions under which the client begins to understand himself, understands himself, discovers and independently makes the right decision. Being a psychologist means loving your profession, constantly discovering new things in yourself and others, helping people become happier.

Profession perspective

  • Once upon a time, about 8 years ago, the profession of "psychologist" was not among the most requested and highly paid. People who wanted to solve their personal problems or help their loved ones went to study psychology. Therefore, education was simply interesting, and the motives were, most often, personal, non-mercantile and sublime. Yes, and work in this specialty was in schools, kindergartens, boarding schools, mental health clinics, police. Now life has become more fun for psychologists! The popularity of professions related to psychology is growing every year.

Positive aspects of the profession:

  • Communication with people from all social layers
  • You are considered and asked for advice (regardless of age and social status)
  • Learn from other people's mistakes
  • Learn other people's secrets (for the curious)
  • The profession itself continues to develop, and specialists grow along with it.

Disadvantages of being a psychologist:

  • Strong emotional stress
  • Often inconvenient work schedule (they can pick it up even at night)
  • All your life you live with other people's problems
  • There are many psychologists, but there are few talented, professional, with a gift from nature, and only such can become outstanding (with all the ensuing consequences)
  • The need to constantly improve their skills

Two main areas in psychology:

  • research psychologist (in science);
  • psychologist-practitioner (helps people).

Total:

  • Psychologists make sure that representatives of all other professions live together. Psychologists look into the subconscious of a person and determine what conditions he needs to create for the most productive work. Psychologists understand Freud, Jung, personality types and borderline states. Psychologists increase the efficiency of staff and reduce the number of suicides among employees. Psychology is a necessary and honorable profession.

Check yourself and say...

  • Psychology is a dangerous profession.
  • Why dangerous?
  • The profession of a psychologist is necessary.
  • Why needed?
  • Work is done student ______________________.
  • Project Manager
