Topicality and necessity of the thesis. In world literature, the development of national literatures within the framework of literary communication, interaction and literary translation is always of great importance in the renewal, enrichment and rise of literary literature. Literary relations, by their very essence, always serve to bring peoples, peoples and nationalities whose languages, nationalities, customs, and history are sharply different from each other closer together, to establish bonds of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect between them.
In world literature, especially in the era of globalization, a lot of work has been done in the direction of comparative literature studies, researching the problems of the development of various literary phenomena, literary types and genres, common themes and plots on the example of the literature of different nations, new directions have appeared. In this regard, the scientific and cultural-educational significance of the works devoted to the study of the peculiarities of literary relations between distant and near languages, sister nations and literatures is extremely high.
In Uzbek and Karakalpak literary studies, especially in the period of independence, the position and contribution of comparative literary studies is increasing. It is important to study the roots and sources of issues such as the centuries-old relations of the literature of these two nations with each other and the literature of different nations, the enrichment of national literature in terms of content and form, new literary genres and methodological research, and will determine their future development paths. The processes of creating works of art dedicated to the life of the Karakalpak or Uzbek people, and the creative identity of poets and writers who write in Uzbek and Karakalpak languages while living in Karakalpakstan, the scientific study of literary relations or the experiences accumulated in mutual literary translations are among the important and urgent problems of both literary studies.
