OLD ENGLISH

Body
Inflectional Morphology: Old English was a highly inflected language, meaning that it used a complex system of suffixes and prefixes to show tense, case, number, and gender. For example, the verb "to be" had six different forms for present tense alone, depending on the subject. Additionally, Old English had four noun cases (nominative, genitive, dative, and accusative), which were marked by different suffixes.
Here are some examples of inflectional endings in Old English:
Nouns:
Case: Old English has four cases: nominative, genitive, dative, and accusative. The endings for each case vary depending on the gender and declension of the noun. For example, the masculine noun "dæg" (day) has the following endings in each case: nominative "dæg", genitive "dæges", dative "dæge", accusative "dæg".
Adjectives:
Degree: Old English has three degrees of comparison for adjectives: positive, comparative, and superlative. The endings for each degree vary depending on the gender and declension of the adjective. For example, the masculine adjective "geong" (young) has the following endings in each degree: positive "geong", comparative "geongra", superlative "geongost".
Verbs:
Tense: Old English has two tenses: present and past. The endings for each tense vary depending on the person and number of the verb. For example, the present tense of the verb "habban" (to have) has the following endings: 1st person singular "hæbbe", 2nd person singular "hæfst", 3rd person singular "hæfð", 1st person plural "habbað", 2nd person plural "habbað", 3rd person plural "habbað".
Mood: Old English has three moods: indicative, subjunctive, and imperative. The endings for each mood vary depending on the person and number of the verb. For example, the subjunctive mood of the verb "beon" (to be) has the following endings: 1st person singular "si", 2nd person singular "sīe", 3rd person singular "sīe", 1st person plural "sīen", 2nd person plural "sīen", 3rd person plural "sīen".
