All things in the world have their ingredients. The world includes human and other things. Even human has its own ingredient itself. We can see the word “ingredient” on the packet of products as mineral waters, juices, chocolates, sweets, foods for babies and others. While we are buying them we look through the ingredient of these products. We buy the product which has more useful ingredients in it. Because we want nutrition will be effective. Our mothers cook the most delicious meals and their brides ask how they make it. Then mother-in-laws give its recipe including ingredients, steps and time to their brides. We can give as many examples as we can for this matter.

I said all things in the world have their ingredients in the paragraph above. What about teaching and learning? First of all, we should identify what are they? Teaching is transporting the knowledge to other people’s mind we learned. Learning is realizing the knowledge in our mind which we read and listened. Best teacher tries to give his or her knowledge to the students effectively and in a short time.

For several days I have been thinking about what things the essential ingredients for effective teaching and effective learning can be. In the end, I created two recipes: for teachers and for learners. For teacher the ingredients can be the following:

Firstly, teacher must have enough knowledge in order to teach students. The more teacher has knowledge, the more the students learn effectively.

Secondly, teacher must have love for his or her students. Teacher must respect the students.

Thirdly, teacher must know what literature can be the most suitable and useful for students’ knowledge level and what literatures can lift them to the upper steps in a short time.

Fourthly, teacher must know the best ways of teaching, in other words, the best methods. Because teacher can make the lesson fun with the help of variety of methods.

Fifthly, teacher must be patient. Teacher must have the patience of farmer who plants a tree and takes care of it until it can give fruits. This process takes a long time.

For learners the ingredients can be the following:

Firstly, learner must be an enthusiast, in other words, must be keen on learning something. Because learner can study everything easily if he or she is interested in a subject.

Secondly, learner must be patient. There is a wonderful proverb of Uzbek people “Getting knowledge is like digging a hole with a needle”.

Thirdly, learner must be hard-working. There is a difference between lazy and hardworking people.

Fourthly, learner must be attentive. He or she must follow the instructions of the teacher rightly.

Fifthly, learner must be respectful to the teacher. If learner respects the teacher he or she do not make the mess of the lesson.

These were my own ideas for essential ingredients of effective teaching and effective learning.

The most important responsibility during teaching is required from teacher. Teacher can create good mind from bad mind or vice versa with his ability. One of the best teachers said that there are no bad pupils but there are bad teachers in the world.
