SELECTING RELEVANT RESOURCES:
In an open-book exam, you are allowed to access your notes.
However, you should be strategic about selecting what to bring with you. It would not be
feasible or appropriate to search through an entire textbook, so you need to identify and
prepare using sections or pages that are most relevant to the likely questions and create
your own notes.
A maximum of 4 double-sided A4 pages of notes will be permitted in a font no larger than
Times New Roman 12 (or equivalent).
If you try to take any additional material, it will be removed by one of the
invigilators.

AVOIDING PLAGIARISM:
Whilst you are allowed to reference your study materials, it's important to avoid direct
copying or plagiarism.
Answers should be in your own words and demonstrate your comprehension of the material
and include relevant citations.

GETTING READY FOR THE DAY OF THE
EXAM
When the exam begins, you will be presented with a question or series of questions or problems that you’ll need to
address. It's essential to read the questions carefully, paying attention to any specific instructions or requirements and
plan your responses according to the question weighting.
1.
Understand the Material:
1.
Focus on understanding concepts – what are you likely to be asked?
2.
Practice with Past Papers or Sample Questions:
1.
Solve previous exam papers or sample questions to get a sense of the types of questions that might
appear.
3.
Stay Organised:
1.
Keep your study area organised and free from distractions.
2.
Use tools like notebooks, digital apps, or flashcards to organise your notes and important points.
