Great people in the UK.

Explain the education system in the UK.
ENGLAND EDUCATION SYSTEM General secondary education in the UK is for all children between the ages of 5 and 16. The school year lasts from September to July and is divided into 3 trimesters: Autumn trimester: from early September to mid-December. It is also known as the Michaelmas Term (in private schools). Spring trimester: from early January to mid-March or late (depending on Easter time). It is also called Lent Term. Summer Trimester: From early April to mid-July. A short break (called a half term) is scheduled in the middle of each trimester and begins in late October, similar to mid-February and late May. There are two types of schools in the UK: public schools and private schools.
PUBLIC SCHOOLS Public schools are provided by the state and run by local educational institutions. But many public schools are also trying to find private sources of funding. In this case, they are called subsidy schools. Parents pay nothing to teach in public schools. In other words, secondary education (from the age of 11) is compulsory for all, which means that children are accepted regardless of their level of education and ability. In such schools, mostly boys and girls are taught together. However, there are schools for gifted children that are selected based on exam results and have almost separate schools of instruction. Not all public schools are designed to be full-time
School education in the UK: The education system in the UK is characterized by strict quality standards that have been formed over the centuries. Education is compulsory here for citizens who have reached the age of 5 and continue until the age of 16. The education system consists of two sectors: public (provides free education) and private (paid educational institutions, private schools). In the UK, two education systems combine perfectly: one in England, Northern Ireland and Wales, and the other in Scotland.

English schools:

Different catalogs and information sources use different criteria in classifying English schools.

Boarding schools are the most common in the UK. In such schools, students are taught basic subjects and live with the school.

Depending on the age of students, the following types of schools are distinguished:
Full-time schools are designed for children ages 2-18. Preschool education institutions (kindergartens and kindergartens) - for children aged 2-7. They teach reading, writing, arithmetic, and focus on a child’s game development. Most often, they are calculated for high school students (2 years 9 months to 4 years).
Small schools. Schools for high school students are designed for children ages 7-13. Children undergo initial preparation in a variety of subjects for which they take the general exam. Upon successful passing of this exam, further education is possible only in high school. Primary schools teach children aged 4-11, preparing them for the SAT exams, which are passed in 2 stages, 2nd and 6th grades. According to the results of the second exam, the child enters high school.
Senior Schools is a school designed for high school students ages 13-18. The first two years of study at this school are aimed at passing the GCSE exam. Then a two-year curriculum: International Bachelor (or A-Level). The high school is designed to educate children over the age of 11.
The Grammar School teaches children over the age of 11, but with a deeper program. In these schools, students receive the English language (sixth form in English) required to enter the university.
