CONCLUSION
The emergence of American English is the result of a long process that proceeded in parallel with and independently of the development of people who settled in a new place in order to lead a new way of life.
The paper examined the differences between British and American English.
A comparative analysis of British and American English has shown that there are a number of differences between the two varieties of the same language.
American English is characterized by simplified spelling (for example, the elimination of redundant characters, an example of the elimination of exceptions to the rules, the use of less common graphic variants of words by more common ones). But at the same time, all these processes are carried out on the material of the English language.
The purpose of the study of the work was achieved by identifying the differences between the British and American languages on the example of vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar.
The tasks of the study were solved:
1) the historical stages of the origin of American English are considered;
2) grammatical, phonetic and lexical features of the American variant of the English language are revealed;
