The movement of people from the countryside into the cities naturally causes many problems there.
The obvious one is overcrowding, which becomes a heavy burden on schools, hospitals and transport
systems. The countryside is also negatively affected . As it is usually the young and healthy who
leave the countryside , this creates a shortage in the workforce for farming and other rural activities.
The best solution would clearly be to ensure that rural life has more to offer to the young.
