Aylabu “Arba’in” bilaa’mol. [1.589]

Alisher Navai’s “Waqfiya” work was created in 1481-1482 and in this work provides information

about the activities of Navoi as a statesman, the lands of the endowment, the buildings it has built.

The main part of the “Waqfiya” can be conditionally divided into two parts:

1. The role of Navai as a statesman in Hussein Baikara’s palace.

2. Alisher Navoi’s charitable work and the property, lands of the endowment, the way of

administration in the places of the endowment, the positions established for the service, the

appointed salary, the description of established procedures.

The work “Nazm al-Jawahir” belonging to Navai pen was written in prose. It consists of the preface

and Hazrat Ali’s interpretation of the Arabic text in Arabic, which is sorted by two hundred and fifty-

five figures.

The work begins with praise of Allah, laudation to Prophet, in which a description of the word and

its power, the religious - mystical views associated with the creation of man, is presented. In

addition, the poet dwells (stops) the information related to the writing of “Nazm al-Jawahir”. Each

comment is supported by excerpts from surahs and hadiths, all four lines of rhyme are used in

song- rubai to enhance their effectiveness.

If Ali’s sermon is called “Nazm al-Jawahir”, this translation is called “Nazm al-Jawahir” which also

means that the hairpins are arranged in a ring - like a thread.

Analyses

The rubais in Nazmu-l-Jawahir are varied in theme. In them we enjoy rare thoughts about the

essence of life, the glory of friendship and love, the dignity of humanity. For example, the 100th

rubai is based on Ali’s quote “Visiting friends increases love”:

  Har kimki habibing o ’ lsa evrul boshig ’ a ,

  Mahv o ’ l yuzig ’ a ,  jonni fido qil qoshig ’ a ,

Tosh ursa ,  ravoningni tufayl et boshig ’ a ,

Tajdidimuhabbatanglabormoqqoshig’a. [2.58]

As we have seen, Hazrat Navoi, in addition to interpreting Ali’s opinion, provides an approach that

complements and reinforces this: “Whoever is your friend, be on his head, that is, be aware of

every imagination, and sacrifice your life for the sake of your friend. Dedicate yourself to him, even

if he rocks at you, and realize that going to him increases love!”

Alisher Navai’s work “ Siraju-l-muslimin” (“the light of Muslims”) is in a pure religious direction

and is dedicated to enlightening Islamic religious traditions. The work is written in the form of a

masnavi and consists of 197 couplets. The work of “Siroju-l-muslimin” includes praise and

encouragement, the reason for writing the book, the interpretation and conclusion of Islamic

jurisprudence and doctrinal issues.

Navai, first of all, after sending his salutations and greetings to Allah and the Prophet Muhammad,

then the reasons for the book’s poem are explained. Initially, he expressed his deep respect for

Sultan Hussein Baykara and told a story. In one of the royal meetings, an erudite man commented to

Hussein Baykara: “The poems of Navai are very wonderful, the person who enjoys it wants to enjoy

it again, but what is the benefit from this?”,- expresses an opinion in the sense that. In fact, the
