Mature examples of fiction occupy a special place in ensuring the spiritual maturity of the young generation. Translation of children's literature also plays an important role in this regard. Because getting to know the masterpieces of world literature, young readers develop understanding of customs, history, and culture of other nations, and their worldview expands The degree of study of the problem. Mark Twain (real name Samuel Clemens), one of the brightest representatives of American and world literature, left an indelible mark on the hearts of not only children but also adults with his works. Mark Twain's works have been translated into Uzbek since the middle of the 20th century. In particular, "The Experiences of Huckleberry Finn" was translated by O. Rahimi and reprinted four times in 1938, 1947, 1948, 1960. But these editions are not just editions, the biographer made certain changes to each edition. O. Rahimi translated "The Experiences of Tom Sawyer" in 1948 and "Stories and Pamphlets" in 1959. "The Prince and the Lady" by Nurbek in 1962, "Ezma Bessie" by U.Shamsimuhammedov in 1963, "Jeanne d'Arc" by R.Komilov in 1965, "The New Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by A.Abdumajidov in 1980, "Yankee and the King" Artur" by Sh. Usmonjo'jayev in 1984, "Ovsar Wilson" by Sh. Usmonjo'jayev translated it in 1986. However, although almost all of Mark Twain's works have been translated into Uzbek, there is no information about the study of Uzbek translations of his works in our translation studies.
