Salohiddin Ayyubiy

On July 4, 1187, a fierce battle began between the King of Jerusalem Guy de Lusignan and Saladin near Hattin. The Crusaders brought with them to this battle the “Holy Cross” on which they believed Jesus hung. The two armies began to fight each other. Saladin defeated the Crusaders led by Guy de Lusignan and Renaud de Chatillon, King of Jerusalem, at the Battle of Hattin. This victory was the most important victory of Muslims in the last hundred years. Sultan cut Renaud de Chatillon, who attacked the caravan of pilgrims, with his sword. Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi leaves the King of Jerusalem, Guy de Lusignan, alive to conquer the fortresses held by the Crusaders.

However, Salahuddin did not accept the ambassador and said:

“Just as the Crusaders entered Jerusalem a hundred years ago, I will enter the same way.”
