The number of people in the family
The average size of a family in various countries has shrunk from
its former size.
Instead of vast extended families, we want to live in small nuclear
households.
Parents are more likely to have fewer children.
Young children are no longer expected to perform manual labour.
Nowadays, both parents are frequently employed.
It is quite expensive to raise children.
Raising a large family is more challenging than raising a small one.
Families with working parents

Parents should be more involved in their children's education and
development
Positive role models are essential for young people.
Divorce
Divorce was once considered unacceptable.
For many years, it was regarded to be an embarrassment for the
family.
Individuals remained together for religious or familial purposes.
Divorce has been increasingly socially accepted in recent years.
It has become much more prevalent in recent years.
Divorce may be a very difficult experience.
Financial challenges may arise for single parents.
A large number of single parents are forced to rely on government


assistance.
When a couple divorces, it can have an adverse influence on their
children.
Children from single-parent families are more likely than other
children to have poor grades or to drop out of school altogether.
A possible link between the growth in divorce rates and certain
socioeconomic problems has been suggested.
