Compassionate people in our society draw strength from their own goodness, seek the interests 
of the people, and put the others interest before their own. The intention of such people is impartial, 
their help is unbiased, they give spiritual nourishment to others. Open-handed, compassionate and 
generous people are like an overflowing river with generous, who wants everyone to enjoy his 
knowledge and good deeds. 
In the current complex situation, targeted assistance to people in need of social assistance is 
becoming more important than ever. It is especially important to provide food, medical masks and 
other hygiene items to the most at-risk adults and the chronically ill people. At the same time, it is 
not secret that there are many families who do not have the opportunity and ability to subscribe to 
print publications, use the Internet, in short, families who need others’ encouragement support, 
advice. 
MAIN PART. On challenging days, as is the case around the world, it is advisable to support 
volunteer initiatives. According to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Volunteerism", the 
objectives of volunteering are to provide assistance to individuals and legal entities, society in 
general, environmental protection, participation in socially important events with the consent of their 
organizers, civic engagement, self-organization, social responsibility, solidarity, mutual assistance, 
and the formation of feelings of compassion. 
In today's pandemic condition, the importance of virtues such as cclemency, generosity, and 
compassion is growing, and their meaning is expanding and deepening. New facets of such qualities, 
which protect the interests of human in society and honor their behavior, are now being discovered. 
In Eastern philosophy, virtues such as compassion, generosity, and humanity have always 
been glorified and praised. Humanity is a quality that requires a person to be kind to other people, to 
their tribe, to do good, to be in a humane relationship.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadeeth: “Oh Uqba, shall I 
inform you of the virtues of the morals of the people of this world and the Hereafter? Whoever has 
discontinued mercy to you, you will bind him, whoever has deprived you of something, you will give 
to him, and whoever has wronged you, you will forgive him” [1, - С. 76]. 
It is narrated on the authority of Nu'man ibn Bashir that our great compatriot, Imam Bukhari, 
said: “The mutual friendship, mercy and compassion of the believers are like a corpse. If one of its 
organs is sick, the rest of the body joins it and wakes up and has a fever. " It follows that every believer 
should be caring for others. Therefore, it is the duty of other believers to show compassion to those 
who are in distress, to find a way to alleviate their pain. Society is like a body. Even if it hurts one of 
its members a little, all the other members should suffer with it. The calamity that befell an ordinary 
person on one side of the world must be the same as the calamity that befell a rich person on the other 
side of the world. And vice versa. This is the level of kindness and mutual compassion between 
people. 
It is a human quality to instill in the minds of young people the ideas of kindness and humanity 
in Abu Nasr al-Farabi's “City of Noble People”, who is recognized as the second teacher in the world. 
Because Farobi dreams of a noble city and shows that in this city all people are kind, humane people 
who respect other people [2, - С.137]. 
The great thinker Alisher Navoi in his work “Vaqfiya” speaks of the great honor and respect 
of human. The play shows that showing love to others is one of the highest human qualities. Navoi 
equates a ruthless person with an animal. According to Navoi, human is the jewel of the whole 
universe, the central figure, the crown of the whole being, the flower of life. All the good things in 
the world, all the blessings are created for human, for their happiness, all of which must serve human. 
According to Navoi, there is no potential in the universe that is more powerful than human, and it is 
impossible. Therefore, in addition to self-respect, everyone should know that other people are the 
jewels of the universe, and show them love and respect [3, - С.234]. 
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah 
be upon him) said: “Generosity is a tree whose roots are in Paradise and whose branches are in the 
world. Whoever hangs on one of its branches will lead him to heaven. Greed is also a tree whose
