Some people think the spread of multinational companies and globalization produce positive outcomes for everyone. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Globalization and the germination of multinational corporations have been pacing up more than ever before. While one school of thought corrodes the seeding of globalization, others think it has immensely benefited mankind. I agree with the latter statement and correspond with the thought of globalization bettering the lives of people. In the forthcoming sections, I shall be propounding my views on the topic. First and foremost, globalization has helped in eradicating the unemployment scourge to a significant extent. Not only has it assisted the countries in laying their helping hands to the unemployed masses by generating the labour and employees’ needs, but it also helped people survive somewhat optimally as it has made the resources available to the people to sprint on the tracks of life. Secondly, it has helped industries improve themselves by setting the goals and standards for the native businesses to learn from and refer to while defining their goals and parameters. Moreover, the expanding network of multinational companies from different parts of the world provides access to the global market for many local companies that are innovative and booming. Talking from the diversity point of view as well, it has helped people in getting acquainted and cognizant of slightly unrepresented and non-eminent cultures and traditional heritage of different regions by bolstering their feet in the mainstream upon their acknowledging. Further, in times of global crisis, it has become easier for the developed nations to take note of the calamitous consequences and natural catastrophes in a region and, therefore, take necessary actions. Some people might say it has increased the competition for local businesses and has made it harder for them to thrive. However, it has helped people avail themselves better than the good results in diving through the oceanic opportunities available. Conclusively, we can say that globalization and the surge of MNCs have helped humankind in various aspects. Therefore, I agree with the fact that multinational companies and globalization produce positive outcomes. We are living in an era of globalization. The entire world has turned in to a ‘global village’. The diminution/ attenuation/dwindling of barriers on trade and other economic activities has made it feasible for the multinational companies to move around freely in different nooks and corners of the world. A popular stratum of society deems that this is a positive development as one and all are getting benefited out of it. However, I tend/ am inclined to think in the opposite direction. I think it is not bringing dividends to all and sundry. I would like to explicate it at length in the paragraphs to come. On the one hand, my major argument relates to their products. Supporters of globalization argue that multinational companies produce high-quality products. This may be true to some extent, however, it also means that people have less choice of products to buy. Consequently, these products are generally expensive which means an extra financial burden on the pocket of the common man. Hence, these products are not in everyone’ reach. In addition, when powerful multinational association invade/intrude local markets with their goods, they pose a serious challenge to local and small organisations and often force them to go out of business. As a result, consumers have no choice but to buy multinational products whether we like them or not. On the other hand, MNCs and globalization are making societies more open which is good in a way but this also means that as a result, the human race is losing its cultural identity. Furthermore, advocates of multinational companiesoften point out that they provide employment. This is undoubtedly true, it also indicates that we have become more dependent on them which means when a multinational company decides to move to another country, this has an adverse effect on its workers who lose their jobs. To add to it, the jobs MNCs provide are not paid as much as they pay for similar jobs in their own country. Thus, in fact, they are exploiting workers from poor nations. To conclude, after the overall analysis, it can be concluded that apparently multinational companies do have their benefits, but they also have their drawbacks and not everyone is benefited by them. Globalization will prove a boon when everyone can reap the fruits of it and when the benefits are not restricted only to a group of individuals, companies or countries. Over the years, globalization and the spread of multinational companies have transformed the world economy in multiple ways. This in turn has benefited in the growth and expansion of several developing and developed countries. I personally agree with this statement and the reasons will be explained in this essay. Multinational companies have opened doors to a wide variety of opportunities. As these companies have requirements for great manpower, they offer employment to a huge population in the host country. A recent study showed that Wipro has employed the most number of IT professionals in India, where there are many engineering graduates who are unemployed. This will help in tackling the issue of unemployment which is a major concern in most developing countries. Clearly, these companieswill boost the countries' financial economy. Furthermore, investments by these Trans-National Corporations (TNCs) bring wealth and foreign currency to the local economies when they buy locally produced items, resources or services. Thisadds on to the national income and the extra money can be used for the development of various sectors such as education, health and infrastructure. Additionally, globalization also helps in sharing ideas and cultures among different countries. People get to experience new food and products from different land that were never available earlier. In conclusion, globalization and the increase in multinational companies have a tremendous positive impact on society. In my opinion, more MNCs should be encouraged to invest in developing countries which would enable inflow of vast opportunities for the progress of the country. Today everyone is part of a big global village. Globalization has opened various opportunities for both national and international companies in developed and underdeveloped states. This has paved the way for a totally different world. In past, the term globalization attracted a lot of criticism especially from economists but slowly it got accepted by everyone and now the whole world believes that this trend is important for constructive development. I too completely agree with this statement and will discuss the same in the below essay. To start with, globalization flagged many groups to check on openings available in weak nations. Many establishments started their businesses in such a regime creating a lot of employment chances and the need for infrastructure development in that area. A lot of local businesses also benefitted due to this change as they got to provide much needed raw materials for the construction and hence entering the global market for their products. For example, Tata Steel is renowned in the world for providing steel to many Such industries worldwide. Furthermore, the invasion of multinational corporations brought wealth and foreign currency to much needed small regions. This adds to the country overall budget and used further for healthcare, education and infrastructure etc. Many job prospects build up the realm's economy as people tend to spend the money and pay taxes for the money earned and spent. This added income can be used again for well being of citizens. Live example in front of us is India, China etc. India is now the most sought-after country for any company’s investment due to its cheap labour and government support. In conclusion, globalization and the increase in multinational firms have a tremendous positive impact on society. Download 50.75 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
