Additional Information:
At the end of KS3, each student completes a personal profile, identifying their best activities. A programme of activities is then designed for the September, to support most of the students following their top choices throughout KS4. The programme contains the activities which most of the students identify as strengths, while those which are less favoured are not finally offered.
In addition to all students following the Circuit Training and Health Related Fitness Unit, all students also have to participate in at least one activity out of Athletics, Gymnastics and Dance.
Some units tend to be taught in mixed-sex groups, while others become more single-sexed groups, depending on the students who have opted to follow each unit.
Year 10 Core PE does not involve an examination nor lead to a qualification.
No homework is set, but students are encouraged to have extracurricular participation in and out of school.
